The last few months have been quite hectic for the management, handling arising issues and more importantly monitoring the ongoing construction and keeping to schedules. I must draw members' attention that many of the works are on track and are going according to plan.

It is gratifying to note that members are doing what they liked best, playing golf and enjoying the basic facilities made available while the rest are being upgraded and rebuilt. Already, the driving range is available for member's use in addition to improved golf course, new buggies and other amenities like caddy's hut, maintenance building and administrative offices. We strive to make the transition from what we are used to for the past many years to a new, fully-equipped club that we can be very proud of.
　

The path to making the dream a reality is never easy and strewn with obstacles. One must realised that those in the power in the State Government have changed and the Boards and management have to gain their confidence that those at the helm of RPGC are neutral and devoted to seeing that the Club will achieve its objective. I am glad to reveal that after several contacts and meetings any form of apprehensions have been overcome. This would mean that the Club should be operating without any constraints and have the confidence of the State Authority. Full support from the State, as the most important stakeholders, is critical for the Club as there are many things to achieve.

As the same time we should strive to relate ourselves not only amongst members but with members of the public especially our neighbouring communities. I must assure members that the Board and management have undertaken its tasks according to the prevailing rules and regulations. We have also considered and taken into account public sensitivities when implementing RPGC projects. I call on to RPGC members too to fairly consider certain issues before taking sides as any distorted views would cause considerable damage to the Club and its members. Therefore, we should strive together to guard the Club's image and its future.

As we get nearer the objective of experiencing a new beginning to RPGC, I must remind members of respecting Club Rules & Regulations. The management at some points may introduce new rules and amend old ones so members' conduct would contribute toward maintaining harmony and decorum. My appeal to all members is to give the management your full support and make RPGC as a premier club a reality.
